Shobhaa: I Will Share The Vada Pav With My Family
This is the novelist's hard reply to the Sena protest held outside her building today
This afternoon, Sena protested outside her building Maker Towers (Cuffe Parade, Mumbai). They came with vada pav and dahi misal. The protestors wanted to give it to Shobha but there was tight security hence they handed it over to the watchman.
Their peaceful protest assumes significance because De had termed their demands as 'dadagiri'.
However, Shobhaa Aunty (yes, that's how the Sena addressed her in their banners) is not In repent mode. She came down later and said, " As a citizen I have the right to voice my opinion which I did. They have a right to protest. I have no issues with it. I'll share the vada pav with my family."
She also tweeted:
